Daily life in about 1–2 weeks
ANSWER Revision
Eye revision must handle scar tissue and adhesions from the previous surgery, demanding a more delicate approach than a first operation. ANSWER Plastic Surgery distinguishes whether the line has loosened, sits too high or asymmetric, or the eye-opening strength is weak, aiming to correct both function and shape.
When Revision is needed
If any of the following apply to you, we recommend a specialist consultation.
A loosened fold
The line has loosened or faded and you want it re-established
A fold set too high
The crease is thick and high, and feels unnatural
Left–right asymmetry
The two lines differ in height, or the eyes open unevenly
Sleepy-looking eyes
Even after surgery, the eyes open incompletely and look drowsy
Visible scarring or adhesion
A sunken scar or adhesion shows when you close your eyes
CUSTOM DESIGN
Diagnosis that separates the causes
The same "eyes I'm unhappy with" can stem from line position, skin amount, eye-opening strength, or adhesion. ANSWER evaluates the previous surgical method and current tissue, distinguishes the cause, and individually designs line repositioning, adhesion release, and whether to combine ptosis correction.
- 1Prior surgery, scarring, and adhesion evaluated
- 2Eye-opening strength measured to judge ptosis correction
- 3Line repositioning planned around remaining skin

ANSWER POINT
Releasing adhesions for a natural line
The key to revision is fully releasing old scar adhesions so the new line folds naturally. ANSWER precisely dissects the adhesion at the old line, preserves needed tissue, and supplements sunken areas with fat grafting, aiming for eyes with little trace of surgery.
- 1Precise release of old scar adhesions
- 2Fat supplementation eases hollowing at sunken areas
- 3Ptosis correction combined for brighter eyes
- 4Conservative excision that preserves tissue first

ANSWER Revision: How It's Done
Detailed Consultation & Diagnosis
Your surgical history, current eye condition, and sources of dissatisfaction are examined closely.
Revision Design
New line height, extent of adhesion release, and combined procedures are decided.
Adhesion Release & Line Re-creation
Old scar adhesions are released and a new line created at the planned position.
Supplementary Procedures
Ptosis correction or fat supplementation is combined when needed for clear, natural eyes.
Recovery Care
Swelling and line stabilization are checked at regular intervals.
Frequently Asked Questions
QWhen is eye revision possible?
We generally recommend waiting 6 months for the tissue to stabilize. If the line has fully loosened or there is a functional problem, earlier correction can be considered — timing is judged by your condition.
QCan a high fold be lowered?
Releasing the adhesion and re-fixing the line lower can achieve this. How much it can be lowered depends on skin reserve and scarring, and we advise the feasible range after diagnosis.
QWon't revision make the scarring worse?
We use the existing incision line whenever possible so new scars are not added. In fact, tidying the adhered scar often eases the hollowing seen when the eyes are closed.
