NOSE CENTER

ANSWER Hump Nose

A hump nose has a raised mid-dorsum that makes the profile look angular and the impression stronger than intended. ANSWER Plastic Surgery goes beyond shaving the protruding bone and cartilage: the entire bridge line and the tip are refined together for a harmonious profile.

When Hump Nose is needed

If any of the following apply to you, we recommend a specialist consultation.

CASE 01

A protruding dorsum

Seen from the side, the middle of the bridge rises and the line looks bent

CASE 02

A harsh impression

People say the hump makes you look sharp or stern

CASE 03

Profile worries in photos

The nose line bothers you more in profile photos than from the front

CASE 04

Hump with a drooping tip

A hump combined with a droopy tip calls for overall correction

CUSTOM DESIGN

Line design with removal planned in numbers

More shaving is not better — what matters is removing only what the forehead-to-tip line requires. ANSWER plans the height to remove through profile analysis and designs a straight or gently curved line suited to men and women respectively.

  • 1Removal amount planned on profile measurements
  • 2Straight or curved line chosen by gender and impression
  • 3Overcorrection prevented to avoid a pig-nose look

ANSWER POINT

A seamless, step-free finish

Removing a hump can leave the dorsum looking wide or stepped, so finishing matters. ANSWER performs osteotomy to narrow the nasal bones when needed and smooths fine irregularities, aiming for a dorsum that feels smooth even to the touch.

  • 1Osteotomy narrows a widened dorsum when needed
  • 2Finishing pass smooths irregularities at the removal site
  • 3The connection to tip height corrected at the same time

Frequently Asked Questions

QIs shaving the hump all the surgery involves?

Removing only the hump can leave the dorsum looking wide or out of balance with the tip. Depending on your condition, osteotomy or tip plasty is often combined to tidy the whole line; the needed scope is advised after diagnosis.

QIs osteotomy very painful?

The osteotomy area can feel sore and bruised for a few days, but this is usually manageable with prescribed pain control. Bruising typically fades over 1–2 weeks.

QCan the hump come back after surgery?

The removed bone does not grow back, but fine callus tissue may be palpable during healing. It usually settles with time, and we monitor the condition through follow-up visits.
